LORD
ELECTED TO NALSC BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Michael Lord, founder and president of
Michael Lord & Company, LLC Attorney
Placement, was elected by his peers to a
three-year term as a member of the Board
of Directors of
the National
Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC)
at the annual conference held April 29 to
May 1 in Marina del Rey, California. Lord
will be
one of
12 Board members of this national organization.
In
addition to playing an active role in
developing and managing the 2005 annual
conference in New York City, Lord will
focus on:
- enhancing the image of the legal
search profession through national public
relations,
- providing education and information
on trends and issues in the marketplace,
and
- monitoring
and responding to legislative and
regulatory activity that may impact
the legal search profession.

- Placed a litigation partner at an entrepreneurial
law firm based in the Manhattan financial
district which focuses on business transactions,
tax, and litigation.
- Placed a senior associate at a growing
Fairfield County, Connecticut law firm
which specializes in forming and counseling
hedge funds and private equity funds.
- Placed a senior real estate associate
who had been at a top 100 law firm at
a large New York City law firm with one
of the preeminent real estate practices
in New York.
- Placed a structured finance attorney
from one of the top 5 global investment
banking firms in a dual legal/business
role at an international investment bank
with a growing presence in New York.
